The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending the public comment period by 20 days on its Request for Information (RFI) to solicit the public's input on regulatory considerations related to 9 CFR parts 101-118, 123-124.
The comment period closed on September 11, 2026. The agency now reviews the comments. If it goes ahead, it publishes a final rule in the Federal Register that responds to significant comments. We link it here when it appears. See what is open for comment now.
